New Orleans Gorgeous & Rustic Dream Wedding

Cailin and Brett’s story starts over 8 years ago in San Francisco. Brett was new to the city, so Cailin took it upon herself to show him the best the city had to offer, including her friends. It wasn’t long until the two started to see each other more and more frequently. A few nights a week turned into everyday, and a great friendship blossomed into a lasting romance. Cailin and Brett consider themselves so lucky to have found each other, and to have developed the relationship they have now. From adventures around the world back to nonstop good times in San Francisco. Their love for great food, music, and an abundance of festivities made New Orleans the obvious choice for their wonderful wedding day. This shoot was so fun, and so true to what we love here at Diaz Nola Photography. Cailin and Brett really made their wedding their own–They walked down the isle and entered their ceremony together, they did away with the bouquet toss, they had no garter, no money dance, no cake cutting–just pure fun! We always encourage our clients to do away with traditions that don’t speak to them, and really find the shape of their own wedding.

The gang got an early start at Race & Religious, and spent the day hanging out with their closest friends and family and getting ready for the upcoming ceremony. The multi-purpose venure was the perfect place to gather on the cusp of the marriage ceremony. Shoutout to Evermore Weddings for really transforming the space! The ceremony was officiated by a good friend, dressed like a “bohemian monk” as one guest put it. As food, drinks and music were prepared for the reception, we grabbed a few more beautiful shots of our newlywed couple, utilizing the gorgeous and rustic space. The rest of the night was spent in revelry, and we were happy to capture it! (We may have joined in on the fun as well…)
