What a hot wedding this Extraordinary New Orleans Destination Wedding Photography was! Destination weddings are always the best and we always work with the most unique and wonderful couples. The incredible Lizzie and Juan come all the way from Miami, Florida. Their story is so special and we thought we’d let them tell a little bit of it for you:
“We bonded over our love of retro toys, our bizarre sense of
humor, and adoration for Morrissey. When Juan introduced me to his
son Anthony, the puzzle was complete and a family was born.
Following years of dating and a brief time apart, Juan swept me off of
my feet with a romantic proposal overlooking Biscayne Bay. Not wanting to
waste another moment, we went into full wedding
mode, planning a destination wedding in New Orleans.”
Lizzie and Juan found us on Instagram and said they had to book us and honestly we had to have them! They were one of the most fun couples we’ve worked with and their wedding was definitely one that we would probably want to relive over and over if we were them. Their big day started with Lizzie getting ready at The Olivier House Hotel on Toulouse St. in New Orleans and Juan and his son at an AirBnB in the Quarter. We did boudoirs with Lizzie at the hotel before we got going to their first look. We rushed downstairs to the plaza outside the hotel to surprise the love of her life and future stepson. They were both so in awe! We just love the look on Anthony’s face when he saw Lizzie! The hotel gave such a great atmosphere to work with and even the couples shots we got inside are dreamy.
The ceremony took place at The French Quarter Wedding Chapel. The chapel was so beautiful and vibrant and it matched their personalities to a tee. These two knew what exactly what they wanted that it was easy to capture the love they had for each other. They were so comfortable the entire day and took in every moment. Afterwards they did cocktails at Hotel Monteleone and had dinner with fifteen of their closest friends and family in the Rex Room at Antoine’s Restaurant. Even more beauty! They all were a blast to photograph and we all had such a great time! Their wedding is definitely one that screamed Extraordinary New Orleans Destination Wedding Photography! We wish the very best to the Cayro’s!
