The night Brett proposed, after a lakefront dinner, Maegann was surprised by family and friends all gathered at a nearby bar in order to celebrate this next step in their journey. This would also happen to be the same night that we met Maegann, and we would subsequently have the pleasure of shooting the couple’s lovely wedding!
The ceremony took place in the beautiful, spacious Botanical Garden at the LSU AgCenter in Baton Rouge. The space was tastefully holiday-themed. A large, mistletoe-esque and light-adorned network of branches acted as a chandelier, illuminating the red, green and gold decorations found around every corner. Of course, we can’t forget the gingerbread bride and groom! The bridesmaids glimmered in glorious gold dresses, courtesy of Bella Bridesmaid. Our groomsmen kept with the autumnal theme by way of matching boutonnières and gold handkerchiefs. All stood side by side as bride and groom exchanged rings and vows in a warm ceremony on a chilly night.
The reception immediately followed, and it didn’t take long before everyone was wearing santa hats. Nor did it take long for some folks to end up on the floor. Or on top of each other. The bash was scored by the local cover band Pick6, and there was no shortage of dancing. Perhaps a shortage of gingerbread men before the night was out. When the time came, Maegann and Brett were sent on their way by a line of friends and family, each with a sparkler in hand, and most with a drink in the other. We’re grateful for the opportunity to shoot Baton Rouge Louisiana Wedding Photography weddings, like Brett and Maegann’s!
